Hey guys, As the title says this is my first decent size tank, The dimensions are 5ft x 2ft x 28"H (175?g)
The stand was just raw pine to start with, each night after work i enclosed it, made 2 doors for the front and a side door that opens like a draw bridge so i can slide a 3-4ft sump in later on. To finish it off i painted it in gloss black and added chrome handles and hinges.
The tank needed a really good clean and with the left over paint i painted the back and base black also...
At the moment it is filtered by an FX5 and heated with 2 300W heaters, The light is a dodgy 48" assembly(which i'm replacing tomorrow) I'm using 2 Aqua-Glo 18000K tubes.
The fish were my mates, he needed to get rid of them asap so i went round and took all his filtration media and fish, which include- 1xjardini, 2xRD's, 2xBarra, 1x??? RD/convict hybrid? I also have 2 8" pleco's of mine in there. it has worked out great.... Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrates 5. The Jar is a big sook and hasn't harmed anything including feeders....yet
I also bought another fish today, but i will start another thread about that
Excuse the aquascaping(or lack of) this is a very temperary setup, i will be selling all fish except the plecs and buying juv pbass in the next month or so, hopefully.
