Here is my new tank, 72x30x18, wish I could have made it taller but I am still in high school and I cant take any risk of tank problems because that would end my fishkeeping all together. The stand had to be diy to save money, its cedar 4x4s, and birch plywood in the spaces, no doors yet though. Had to try and keep energy costs down as the parents noticed an increase in the energy bill so the lighting is a total of 8 watts (led lights). For filtration there is an FX5 and a fluval 405, with around 2kg of ceramic rings. The ugly decorations are there from the old tank as I was worried that I may need additional bacteria to go along with the 405 from the old tank. It is divided to grow out a couple more pbass about 1" right now. May be a humble little setup but one day I will go for something much bigger...

that's a very nice DIY.. What's in the opposite tank?

lol very nice.. how big is that tank sitting next to it? :naughty:

how big is the tank the cichla are in now.. 150?

Ya its about 150, after calculating glass thickness in exactly 156, withouth glass thickness, 169.

30 inches wide is pretty niccccccceeee

Ya I like it to, found an aquarium manufacturer close by and they were really nice people and decided they could make one for me at a great price. Hoping i'll be outta before the pbass get too big, then I can upgrade again.
