I've decided to finally setup a sump. The most intriguing aspect to me is the ability to grow plants separate from my plant destroyer fish and have a growout tank within the sump.
My tank is a 180 is not drilled. Would a eshopps pf-1000 overflow rated at 900 gph and a taam rio hyperflow pump rated at 1090 gph at 1" of head be enough and a good combination?
The sump will be 5 feet below the top of the tank. I might try to place the sump someplace else so the pump would only have to move the water 3' up. will that be an issue if I decide to do that on a later date?
