thanks man, he is between 5 and 6 inches and coming out of his shell a little
absolute beast to other fish when they where in tank with him but crazy scared of me
 
i remember those days lol, had mine since he was an inch and only started comming out of his shell when he was around 6-8 inches. would be fine when other fish were in the tank trying to fight them but as soon as it was jsut him it was a long 12 months of waiting lol. just be patient its well worth it
 
One trick I used to make him come out faster was to remove his hiding spots. just had a couple rocks in there so he'd get use to me also I'd pull up a chair right next to the tank wen playing xbox for a couple hours. Seemed to work. Good luck

hiding spots more for the female but that idea back fired
spent a far amount of time sitting infront of tank lol these pics only took me a hour to get
