here are some before and after pictures of my tank.
before: got the tank used was my first tank larger then 30 gallons and used to think that style looked good

After: after i got introduced to MFK i found the natural look much better sorry all the pictures are bad but my camera just doesnt do good taking tank pictures plus the water is cloudy from the switch to sand

i got the drift wood for really cheap so i bought alot of it im not sure if its over crowded. will see how the fish like it and then decide. will also be adding some river rock in the very near future they place was just closed today so i couldnt get them

Very nice if I were you I would get rid of that green plant in the middle, the color of it looks fake IMO. Other than that it looks good, I like the stand and canopy. What size tank is it and are you going to add any more fish?

MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER! Ive got a tank I "inherited" that I want to switch over to sand...gravel just looks so tacky

ya i think i will pull that plant out now that u mention it. i want to do real plants but not sure how it would work with my current stock list. but it is a 75 gallon and im planning on going with a few more dither type fish but i think i have all my main fish in there. ( firemouth, gold severium, JD, ghost knife, silver datnoid and a chocolate pleco) i dont want to get to many more fish caz i dont think i can upgrade anytime soon.

I love the sand and the driftwood. I recently did that to my tank but within a week a filter crapped out on me.

I used pool filter sand....washed the fire out of it...but the cichlids simply move to much of it.

I hope you dont have any problems.

Looks nice bro!!! How was the move itself, have any problems doing it?

As for the plants, if you want more of a real look, I would suggest heading to your local craft or arts store, even walmart. Many of these places have the fake "real" plants which look amazing as well as being amazingly cheaper than the branded "real aquarium plants." Just make sure you don't get any with poperi, that smelly stuff, on them and give them a good rinse or soak before you put them in.

mucccccchhhh better !!! perfectly illustrates why natural beats fake everytime, much better environment in terms of caves etc, love it!
