Finally Upgraded to my 350G / update on my Festae

So, I finally upgraded to my 350 gallon tank, it replaced my 225. It was sitting in my garage for about a month. Thanks to a few friends I was able to get it up and running last week. I thought it was a 375.. 96"x30"x30" but it turns out that its 96"long 30"tall but only 28"wide. Even with that said, i still love it!

Oh! Yes, the tank is only black on one side. I will be getting back there in the next few weeks and painting the rest. Should have done it before I put it up, but I forgot about it and started the tank change with all my fish in buckets. O'well some things you have to do the hard way..... :wall:

Thanks, they are very camera friendly, and have been the most aggressive when it comes to feeding.

Thanks! the Festae are doing much better since their first introduction. They actually seem to like each other this time around lol!

You heard half right. The female and male hit it off for the first few hours, courting, flaring at each other and a bit of lip-locking, which you see in their first video. The next morning the male was at the top of the tank in the corner hugging the top of the water.. So I removed him to the 150 across the room. He had no damage, not even a torn fin. I could not tell if is was a result of the female turning him down (i assume it was her) or if it was another fish in the tank stressing him out. The Second go around, 3 weeks later, was when I introduced the female to the 150 that the male rested up in, and they seemed to hit it off. They have been moved once more into their new, permanent home, the 350G.
I'm still watching them to see how their relationship develops. Hoping for fri in the next few months.

Thanks man! Its funny how after you do all that work on a project, your motivation gets renewed to the point that you can come home after a long days work, and sit and watch the tank like it was a TV. I think I have passed out in front of it maybe 4 times in the past week lol!

Thanks man! Yeah, putting the festae in that tank was a good idea, thanks for the idea bro. I know just the person who has a tank a little smaller then that one ;)

Thanks Gani, I hope they do too, but even if they dont.. I'm looking forward to that male getting beastly.
 
Great set up. I am in the process of working a deal for a 400g for myself as we speak. Not sure if its gonna work though. Your vid is really inspiring, great choice of tank mates. I have geo's, parrots, and a horse of a flowerhorn. Hope they would work in a 400...alot of room. Looks like it works for you, with your GT and devil. Awesome !!
