when i first got my ngt he would only eat blood worms. they told me at the pet store that he was eating krill, but i doubt that cause after a week of just a few blood worms a day he still wouln't even look at krill or shrimp. so basically l bought enough blood worms that he could have a good meal for about 3 days and during that time i traped some craw fish that he gobbled up. i stopped the bloodworms and moved to earth worms wich he took fairly readily a week no food and he started to kill those earth worms and go crazy on anybody that went near them. well after a month of that i decided it was time to sart the shrimp step. well needless to say he is not completely dumb after a 8.5 weeks of straving he ate his first bit of shrimp two days ago. it was a piece one of my ITs had in his mouth and the ngt stole it. yester day he had a small piece that fell to the bottom of the tank. and today he is now attacking the shrimp when i put them in. now the only problem is that my two bigger dats will grow much faster that the smaller ones cause they eat like crazy and are not afraid to hit the top of the water before the food even drops in.

Wait... He didn't eat for 2 months? I give in after like 2 days when im trying to get my fish to eat something else. Comgrats though
Congrats man, that does seem to be a bit long to starve, I usually go a month before I give in. Regardless it sounds like it paid off. Next stop pellets?
sorry my bad i meant to put 6.5 weeks but yeah his belly was all sunken in and stuff and the bigger IT has now caught up to his size cause he eats anything i though in the tank except pellets he has grown like 2 inches in 3 months casue he eats so much.
pellets...it really feels like a dream that they would take pellets but yeah that is the plan but i would really like to wait till the two smaller ones put on some size at least an inch or two

Nice, I got mine on market shrimp and got a bigger IT that's already on pellets and I've noticed it's helped encourage my little ones to try it. One of my smaller ITs is taking broken up massivore now 
it was in a pet shop in houston, TX they had two but i didn't have the room for two. they had it at 150 said they would take 100 so my girl friend paid 25 and i paid 75 the other one was gone a few days after.krichardson;5153600; said:
