Ok So we have an area in our basement just after the laundry area/hallway? Well Its had it's floor ripped up since the drain backed up at one point and ruined the carpet and our landlord doesn't want to put down new carpet. Well we have a small roll of linoleum So I'm gonna put that down and move my tanks out there and out of my bedroom tomorrow hopefully or at least get started by moving a couple. They're attracting alot of girlfriend aggro in our cramped room lol.

Pardon my SketchUp Skills but here's the basic floor plan of the area and where the tanks are going

On the right is the door to the utility closet with the water heater furnace etc.
Behind the 55's will be the second door to my bedroom that is never used, So ill use it as a way to get to the back of the 55's to clean the filters and etc.

Best part about the location tho is the drain near the door to the utility closet, its the drain I usually use for water changes all ready just a lot closer and now I don't have to worry about spilling water yay!

Here's just another view of what I'm hoping for, the 55's will be about 4" under the stairs.

I'll try and get some real pictures right away tomorrow however I don't think I wana show the before the clean up pics >.> its messy under the stairs.

i like that idea its very compact but you seem to be making the best out of what you can! it looks like its gonna be awesome! put a tv down there and a fold out chair and your in business :)

Seems like it should work out real nice. Have fun setting it up!

What's the stock in those tanks? And it looks like a pretty cool little area to work with
The 10Gallon atm Is just some live rock and a turbo snail, Ill be getting fish for it as soon as I get a job again, Wal-mart fired me for some obscure rule that my girlfriends mom and her whole store had never even heard of -shrug-.

The 29gallon is a Small Community tank
1 Honey Dwarf Grouamie -Really like this guy
2 Tuxedo Platties
1 Lyre Tail Mollie
1 Marbled Mollie
4 Ghost shrimp
1 Bumble Bee Catfish -not sure what species exactaly bought him from walmart but I love this guy hes only about 4 inches but a really cool fish and by far the most personality of any fish around his size I've seen.

The top 55Gallon is an African Cichlid tank with 9 Africans 4 of which I have no Idea what they are probably hybrids.

The bottom 55Gallon Has my Tiger Oscar and a Wild Green Sunfish.

We'll maybe a chair but my bedroom is only a few feet away so I don't need a tv however I would love to move my computer there after I get it all set up but I'm not the only one who uses it =/

nice utilization of a modeling software. I need to do the same thing for my fish room to make sure everything fits

Its Google SketchUp its a free program and fairly easy to use didn't take me much time to get used to it at all, Haven't really tried anything to fancy but I don't need to either it gets the job done for me just fine
