Kind of looks like a female cobra. Definately a female. Could you possibly post a few more pics. He sort of have that camoflogue look that the cobras` are known to possess. Great fish

I believe it is a female as well. It has a black fring on the fins and a white line under that on the dorsal. It usually does not have the bright bars on its back and is normally a solid deep redish orange color. The fish is also 9.5"
Def. a female....pretty sure its tapajos red....cobras will have a more mottled camoflauge pattern to them. Post some pictures of it when its not behind a log...haha...
