It's there because she already had eggs before, with another red devil, but layed them near the outlet to the biologe filter so as soon as the eggs came out the fry was gone.

are you sure that the red devil is female? it looks like a male. did you see that specific fish layed the eggs or it was guarding the eggs?

looks like the red devil is the male and fh is the female. never heard of a femal red devil with a nuchal bump.
