Well I finally went out and bought a test kit for my tanks. Just got done testing the community tank and this is what I came up with. None of my fish appear to be sick or acting abnormal....

pH = 7.6

Nitrate = 80ppm

Nitrite = 0ppm

Ammonia = 0.25ppm

How do I correct these so they are where they are supposed to be?

Here are the stats for my aro tank....

pH = 7.6

Nitrate = 20ppm

Nitrite = 0.25ppm

Ammonia = 0.25

What do you guys think and what can I do to fix anything that is not where it should be?

Are your tanks cycled? Ammonia should read 0.00. To reduce nitrates do frequent water changes.

Looks like you need more filtration or at least more circulation to get that Ammo reading down to 0.
Or his tanks have not finished cycling. Or there is a carcass or a ton of organic matter rotting under a rock or piece of driftwood.

You will probably need to start doing more water changes to keep your nitrates down. How long have these tanks been setup ?
