Ok I see alot of people out there trying to get rid of fish that outgrew their tanks. If you have to give them away, try going to a Bass Pros if you have one in your area. They have a huge tank with gars and bass. if they would take your fish, you could come by whenever you want and visit with them. Just an idea.

i heard you can take outgrown fish to a museum or a university. i heard they will take them for research.

Yeah like they do to monkeys?!
Rather eat mine than let them try to teach my Jag how to fly a plane!

Bass Pro shops only have native tanks so I dont think youll have luck with them. Also are of their fish are donations because I caight a 10lb bass and I wanted to know if they would take it for some compensation and they said no!

Most zoos can't accept live donations, as far as I know museums are the same way. My brother worked at a zoo and they were gettting offered about 20 large pacu a year. If the employees didn't want them they were refused.
