contact ira,you can find him in the buy and sell section(sa/ca wish list)

another question if you guys don't mind, are these fish still relatively new in the hobby? I'm pretty new to c/s Americans and was just curious.

i have no clue if they are technically new or not, but there seems to be more news and interest on them then before imo

Be careful of getting yellow labridens. There are a lot of hybrids out there right now as they are endangered in there natural habitat. Only a few people have the pure form and they are not on this board. However, blue labs are not having that issue. Fishfarm has them for cheap.

I have blues and yellows and my yellow are pure, irregardless of what some people have rumored about, we caught the breeders in Media Luna in 2006. In fact all the blues and yellows in the hobby came from that collecting trip no matter who is selling them. I find it amusing that people who claim theirs are pure and others are not were collected at the same time on the same trip and were all in the same cooler together in the field. Ken

How exactly do you know who has pure ones and who does not? Were you there at collection? If not then you are only spreading rumors. If you were there then please tell all of us who has pure yellow labridens and who does not. If you truely know something then by all means help us stop the spread of hybrids being sold falsely. Otherwise don't make such negative comments.

Hi Guys, as a vendor here I get asked by some of the members when they see something they think is fishy, I.E. Ira a new guy, with all these rare wild caught fish, so I asked him how he got so many wild fish no one else had. Don Conkel contacted me today, he is suppying Ira with the fish, His company went on a collecting trip to the Panuco basin in 2008 in search of pure yellow labridens, they found a new pond that was separate from Media Luna that contained pure yellow labridens and brought back 200 for his breeding program, he recently releaseed 20 wild adults to Ira for resale. So qwell the rumors guys, Ira is legit. Ken
I still get F0 from that pond and F1 of various sizes and they wre DNA tested so there are pure labridens available from other sources. I also have F0 blues available.
