So I want to get an aro nd done research on them but does anyone no a site where theres every type of aro with a pic and description? I thought there was only a few but im seeing ones that are red, yellow, spotted etc. Im leaning towards a jar but is there different types of jars? And do the get DE like silvers?

jars are much MUCH less likely to get drop eye than silvers, but they can still get them. The problem with jars is that many, if not most of them become ruthless assassins, killing every other tankmate once they hit 8". They need a tank at least 30" wide, so a 300g would be perfect for them. Some people argue that a 180g or a 240g will be fine, but it will eventually be up to you.

BTW, there is only one type of jardini, but there is another species of australian arowana called the leichardti. It is less aggressive but over 3x the cost of a jardini.

agree lei aro for a com tank.... the african aros are nice too and different.... me i prefer the black aro
