Since we have all been debating about the care of the Moorish Idol on that other thread to no avail. Lets talk about Finding Nemo. How many people have watched Finding Nemo and said you can't do that? Lemme get this started on things I have said "You can't do that!"

No QT tank for Nemo.

Too many fish in a 55.

No live rock.

Really crappy lighting.

Using a biowheel 350, plastic ornaments, and silk plants.

Housing a Yellow Tang, Perc clown, Damsel, Moorish Idol, Starfish, Cleaner shrimp, a porcupine puffer, and a Royal Gramma together.

Why didn't the Porcupine puffer eat the shrimp (and the other fish)?

Why did they have a bubble toy?

I don't remember seeing a heater either.

Who gives a 7 year old a clown fish.

I think that is about it for right now. Does anyone else remember anything else?

Don't get me wrong, it was a cute movie, but whenever I watch it, I end up pointing out everything that is wrong.

I think the makers of it knew, and that's part of what's funny about it - it's sort of a social commentary on the ignorance of the "casual" aquarist.

Right on Drixonite, the makers also knew Clownfish are cute, and thats why it was so successful

Nemo and Marlin wouldn't live together.....one would switch to female and they'd be a breeding pair. I can see it now: New from Disney: "Nemo Finds Himself - The Journey Continues!" Then the thrid film: "Finding Rednecks: Father son become father and lover".

Haha lets give these kiddes the true story, Nemo's a girl now

LOL, and Dad is now Mom. I so hated that movie some of the posts that resulted from it were real horror stories!

also the anemones clowns host in the wild look nothing like to one in the movie, that one looks more like a caribbean species.

I bet, I heard someone say that a family returned their dead clown after trying to keep it in a fish bowl.

How about a sequeal Captive Breeding Nemo the story behind proper husbandry of marine fish.
