finding the "perfect" fish?

My Pacu was awesome. The only thing is he got WAY too big. Its pretty obvious how much i liked him because i've made about eleventeenbillion posts about him and i don't even have him any more.

The thing that gave the Pacu so much personality was that he was so damn curious. He was a bit of a big sissy too. He loved lettuce but sometimes he would start to eat it, then he'd decide the lettuce was evil and he'd sink to the bottom of the tank and lay on his side and just stare up at the lettuce with one eye.

If you sat on the couch towards the end of the tank he'd come over and just sit there and stare at you.

If someone can tell me about a fish that doesn't get huge and is as CURIOUS as a Pacu, i'll get it right now!

Ya that fish had personalty you may never get it again . I once had a RED DEVIL
It was HUGE and it actuly like to bite A dog toy I had and get pulled half way out of
the water and be pet NO BULL Pet like a dog for 15sec and would reales the dog toy and very
calm go back into the water .

yeah i guess everyone or almost everyone here have had this problem on the beginning of our hobby. trying to find the "perfect fish/es" for us.

I'm still finding new perfect fishes like once or twice a year

The Pacu would let you pet him too!

He would sometimes try to nibble on your hand because he was so damn hungry all the time. He was a trash compactor. Thing would eat anything.

I'm like you I've tried keeping a lot of fish just trying to find something I truly enjoy keeping....I think I finally found what I was looking for in Bichirs......I just love their personality, the fish itself, and watching them.........I also love my cichlids, but bichirs truly are my favorite fish..........
