Well what a prat I been just done my 50% water change and guess what I didn't watch the temp . I filled the tank with cold water crashing the temp from 28f to 16f what a prat I am . Walked into room arrowana upside down I'd upside down rays not moved yet . Managed to get temp up to 22 nursed arrow. And I'd back on they feet what a nightmare Fingers cross now

Has happened with my Rays before when water heater ran out because kids taking showers while I was cleaning. RRRGGG
But rays did fine, they just became very stationary in one place till the water warmed up.

The I'd is a id shark lol both the arrow and id where upside down I kept righting them and kept them moving while I got the temp up the 3 rays have not moved yet . Looks like the id shark and arrow are getting over the temp drop both swimming normal again fingers crossed on the rays now

im amazed at how keeping fish right side up and keep them moving will bring them back from what most people would have long deemed a floater ( dead ) good luck on the rays, and i have also done that before, i uses to have to turn off my heaters when doing larger water changes because they would come out of the water, a few times id ( meaning I'd ) forget to turn then back on, scared the crap out of me!

anndddd i just did it again! were all good tho, how did your rays turn out?

had something like this happen, as much a temp change as u did but the rays just dug in sand an stayed warm tell temp went back up. good luck hope they all pull threw

i did this last month as well.
during the summer, i can just turn the cold tap on only and the temp drops like 2 degrees.
did it during the winter and wasn't paying attention and it dropped to like 60degrees, i sucked a bunch of water out and filled it with lukewarm water, so it helped them a little. they are fine luckily.

GL with yours.
