So I got a really nice 10" Brazilian rhom from aquascape on Saturday and he's in a 150g. Now I really wanted a nice pleco with him, and though I never had a rhom before, the one thing I learned from rbp were to introduce them to fish and not the other way around.

Today I picked up 10 giant danios and a gorgeous big L47 mango pleco. So far they have been together about 8 hrs and vie been watching a lot of the time.

Atlas my rhom has had a go at the danios at least once or twice, but they see him from way far away and hasn't even nipped a fin yet, and I don't even know if he has noticed the pleco. I got nervous and fed him a couple shrimp which he wrecked and the danios picked up the mess without any issues.

Think it will work in the long run? My fingers are crossed

Awesome rhom, got a lil bump on his chin bit doesnt look like anything serious (battle scar im guessing), but with piranhas nothings "for sure" in the long run.

Good luck man, keep us updated.

he will kill every single one maybe besides the pleco in a matter of time

It's a chimple on the chin. & everything you add to a piranha tank is a meal. Might last minutes, days, or months but its still a meal waiting to happen. Rhom looks nice.

Well we will see, not so worried about the danios as they are cheap. i just remember my rbp never ate the black skirt tetras i used to cycle their tank and they lived together for almost 2 years. anyone have any tips or tricks that have tried it? so far everyone has made it through the night but i won't get excited till maybe a month.

the biggest thing i can do to curb aggression with my p's is a lower temp (72-74)

Lower lite helps or blackwater

Lots of cover and plants with alot of space

Also keep him fed on a good diet

blood bath
Encouraging

Anyways, I've already added backwater, and the danios go wherever the bright light is and the rhom lurks in the shadows, with the exception of the one that ended up in my sump, still no signs of killing. The pleco has decided to occupy the same piece of wood as him but he seems scared of the pleco?
