look good but i hope these arent the first fish into the tank...how big's that tank looks nice. gl with them

there in my 75 and soon to go into a 220. i baby sitted 2 oscars for 2 days and today i got the rays. U got me nervious talk to me. what about them being first in tank???

Congrats on the new purchases :). If you've cycled the tank fully, it shouldn't matter if the rays are your first fish or not. If the tank still has cycling issues, then it could affect the rays.

As a precaution, test your water at least daily for ammonia and nitrite for the next week or so. If the levels stay at zero, you should not worry about them being first in the tank. If the levels rise, I would suggest daily 25% water changes until levels are back to zero.

By the way, the rays look great! Good luck.

rays just put out a lot of waste so sometimes it isnt the best idea to add them first... just watch ur ammonia

it wont be at zero too much longer if the tank is not fully cycled to handle the bioload. Rays do produce alot of waste and can foul up the water real quick. not sure if this is your first experience at rays but i agree with Rosewood022, if that is a newly cycled tank, keep an close eye on the parameters for the next fews days. nobody is being negative, we just want you to be successful and enjoy your rays for a long time. :headbang2

thanks for the replys didnt mean to respond that way my bad kody.my readings are ammonia - 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm and nitrate is somewhere between 5 and 10

should i do water changes every 2 to 3 days or once a week?
