Here's our AR15 my husband built.

I say "our" because we're married.... plus I wouldn't have let him spend the money to build it if I didn't get to shoot it. :D

Still need a scope. He's looking for just the right one. Not too big.

Nice setup!

That's just a basic Flat top with a funky rear sight. IDK about the internals of it though!

I would def go with an EOTech sight over an Aimpoint. Much more maneuverability and a much larger field of view. Thus, its easier to get on target quicker and thats the name of the game.

Check out those two products. They are the real deal as they are standard equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan.

whats so funky bout a flip up iron sight?

Let me dig mine out from the bottom of the safe, as its not on my weapon anymore. I don't remember mine or anyone else's looking like that, but then again its been off the gun for 5 years now....

EDIT: Mine originally came with the handle/iron site. I'm just not used to seeing that on AR's as I was never in the service and I'm no LEO.

thanks for the recommendations. I'll pass them along to the hubby. ;)

Nice rifle looks sharp. Be sure you can use your iron sights through your red dots screen in case it goes out at the worst time. Also I noticed in your avatar you have your finger inside the trigger guard thats a big no no. Not trying to be a know it all but you might want to brush up on your gun handling skills a little before you hurt someone. Remember a gun is always loaded and a safety is not an excuse for bad gun handling. It only takes one mistake and someones dead.

OMG. We just put it together. We dont even have ammo yet.

I looked at the picture and said... hm. Maybe we should take another one since my finger is over the trigger..
Someone might rag on me about it... Nah. (i thought)

Who looks THAT closely at my Avatar anyways....

I WONT KILL ANYONE. I have shot guns before. I knew it wasnt loaded.
:chillpill:

But thanks for the lesson Mom
