anyone have an opinion on them? i dident bother searching, as opinions on equipment can change.

i bought a 500w titanium for my pond tonight in an emergency, after finding out one of my 300w had taken a dump on me, and my pond temp was dropping. Id like to buy another 1000w if they turn out to be good heaters

i really hope someone has something good to say, lol.

the thing brought ~1000g of water from 72* to 75* in 12 hours so far. considering its only a 500w, i think thats pretty damn good.

I think they're okay, but I only had the couple that I have for about a half a year. They are inexpensive, but the heater part is quality made. The controller not so quality (in feel- seems to work okay), but its cheap and easily replaceable.

I use a Finnex 300 Watt Titanium Heater & Digital Controller in my sump. I have had no issue with them to date. Controller is a couple of degrees off , but not enought to make a difference.
BTW it replaced a marineland stealth which I feel are crap.

The one I really like is the Hydor inline, hook them up to my canisters on the output . That way the bigger fish cannot use them for toys.
