Finrot please help

Hello, i stupidly fed my bichir small minnows from the fish store. I inspected them but apparently not well enough. I have put him in my 39 gal for qt replaced the carbon filters for that filter and fully cleaned the qt filter. I am curious if i can utilize aquarium salt to heal this or if i need to get somekind of special treatment. If i can use aquarium salt how much per gallon?

Using the minnows from the fish store was abad
idea...i see that now. Please help me turn thos pontentally fatal choice around so that my lttle buddy does not die.

Also, any other advice would be very hoghly appreciated.

Okay not sure it's fin rot now...

His lower jaw is pretty red and bloody and he seems to have some whiteness on his front fins.

I guess i need help with an id too. Though i checked the minnows befor feeding i did notice today that one of the afore mentioned minnows was covered in white fuzz i would assume this would be the same thing.
