My rtc's fins are beginning to look tattered and frayed. It started with his tail about a week ago. Then I noticed his dorsal fin looking the same a few days ago. And today his one pectoral fin looks the same. Ammonia 0. Nitrite 0. Nitrate 20. pH 7.5. Temp 79. I added a pothos plant about a week ago to help with the nitrates. Based on my research it seems like fin rot but the stock has not been altered for over 3 months. I would find it strange that a bacterial infection would sprout up out of nowhere. I have been going on cycles of 2 weeks with salt then 2 weeks without. Changes are made gradually. Plenty of circulation and aeration. Any ideas?
