I've got two of these little toads, and they have started calling each other. is it possible to breed them in captivity, only they're in a small fish-tank together. Would be nice if they could have babies:nilly: :headbang2

You could definitely breed them in captivity:

First off, make sure your frogs are healthy enough to breed. Keep them fat going into the breeding regiment.

Gradually lower the tank temperature to 50 degrees F for about 6-8 weeks. When the frogs are ready to breed the males began calling. Frogs breed with a kind of mating free for all so it's usually pretty easy to get them "in the mood". :naughty:

If your female is ready to breed, she'll swim around with a male on her back for a while. Just keep an eye out for the eggs, a large cluster of up to 200 eggs, which will be attached to something in the tank.

I would move them to an "incubation tank" where you can keep the water temp at mid to hight 70's for a half a week or so and you'll start to see babies.

After they are free swimming, just feed them crushed fish food or frog pellets. You will start to see the frogs developing at about a month or so. At about a month and a half, maybe less, the frogs will be ready to leave the water. Then you can put them on the same diet as your other guys.

Good luck...and remember...pics, pics, pics!!

Hi there, Many thanks for the FAB news! Will try and get some photos. But its a little difficult as I'm in a wheel-chair, but I'll ask my parents to get a few shots. Again Many thanks!
