Im getting a 75 over the summer and im starting to think of my stocking list,

Musts are a BGK, and peacock eel since i allready have them.

I would VERY MUCH like a Fire eel a starry night cichlid and some clowns, my lfs has allready told me theyd take any of them off my hands if they got to big and i couldnt upgrade. Tho, i dont plan on trading in anything but the clowns, ill upgrade for everyone else when its time.

My question is, whats a good stock list?

Heres some fish id be intrested in,

1Silver Prochilodu+
1red tail black shark+
1fire eel+
?? various rainbow fish, not smaller than 4 inches
1blue phmtom pleco+
4-6clown fish +
1Paratilapia bleekeri - Starry night cichlid+
1 peacock eel*
1 BGK*
??Red Line Torpedo barb

of course, thats over crowded, so im asking yall what you would take away. *'d fish are a must +'d fish are the ones id really like to have, the rest are more to fill in the empty space, create motion and diversify size

Fire eel will get 24" + so you'll need to upgrade for it or re-home it.. and may or may not play nice w/ your peacock. and may harass your BGK due to similar color and shape but not 100% on that. never tried to mix the 2. I'de say if you <3 your peacock wait to get a fire eel until you go bigger and leave the peacock in the 75, it stays small enough to be happy in the 75 for life.

I'd get rid of the red-tailed shark for starters. They can get nippy and I'm not personally fond of them. The pleco can go too. Everyone seems to have a pleco, and for that reason I steer clear of them.

The redline barb is a nice looking fish, but imo I think it may be out of place with the rest of the stock.

Just my 2 cents.

Ok, no redtail, plec or red lines,

I was planning on upgrading the tank for the fire eel in the future anyways, but would it be wise to get one, put in in the tank and if it gets along great! if it does not, re home it?

Or should i just give up hope of getting one? Iv accually seen allot of people put bgks and fires together for some reason, and my bgk is quite toughf, deffiantley the bully of my fish atm, so id accually be worried about him harassing the fire if they choose the same hiding place

This accually happened with my peacock (who is larger than my bgk) when i added the bgk, he decided that peacocks log wold be his, and the peacock has since relocated to another peice of driftwood....

and also, any suggestions on 4 inch-ish fish to replace the barbs, or should i just stick to a variety of rainbows,

I saw giant danios today at my lfs, theyre suppsot get like, 4/5in and i do love the zebras i have right now, would you guys reccomend them?

I don't think there'd be any major issue between the BGK and the fire eel.

Getting a nice school of rainbows sounds like it would look very nice with the rest of the stock.

^ i agree. BGK and Fire, both have a lot of -- for lack of a better word --personality. between the two, i see a clash of personalities.
