Fire EEL died

Dang the eel that I love died. He was about 2''. I really wanted to keep him and raise him to get full grown. I do not what he died of. Woke up yesterday Morning finding him dead. I went got a bigger tank for him. Then he dies. I am really sad. My LFS told me they can't get any more fire eels in for a long time and I can't find any eels.

What do you feed your eel? Is he eating enough?

Water parameters need to be very very good while they are young. Might be the issue.. I had one die at 4" but it was due to an infection.

I feed him shrimp and he ate a lot. My Water Parms are fine as well. Thanks for all the RIPS!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. Its gonna be hard for me to get over in the next few days. Hopefully On Sat when I go on a LFS run I will find a larger fire or Tyre Track to replace my old babie.
