well i ordered a fire eel from liveaquaria they were onsale so i figured why not ive been wanting one seems like a good time to do it. it came via fed ex next day packaged nicely in a Styrofoam cooler packed with packing peanuts and one 3 to 4 inch cool pack and the eel was in a back maybe 8 inches long. to my surprise it was dead, no doubt from heat as inside the box was so hot i could feel the hot air coming out as i opened the box. contacted liveaquaria and another was sent as a replacement, after haggling about them wanting me to pay shipping again. well i talked them into it after all i had payed for an item that i hadn't received alive. the next one came about four days later !...the same way dead baked to death. they blamed it on fed ex and come to find out they had only shipped it the day before. so i contacted them again and they refunded my money and i was stuck with overnight shipping charges on a eel that still isnt swimming in my tank. has anyone else had this happen i was under the impression that liveaquaria was a good company to deal with. is this an isolated case or what?
