Hi new to the forum and have viewed some posts over the years. Seems like a good place and have seen some info on fire eels but don’t think I saw exactly what I was looking for. Mine is around 16” and the red worms I get he guzzles 6 at a time at least once a day. Blood work cubes aren’t doing the job and he won’t eat the big night crawlers yet. Can anyone suggest the most economical feed for him and hopefully something easy. Not enough time in the day to get everything done. Not sure if tilapia or some other fish would be easy and cheaper than worms and frozen cubes. Won’t eat beef heart my sis shrimp or any frozen except the bloodworms.

+1 i agree with kno4te kno4te I’ve had 2-3 thus far always start out on bloodworms, then work them to earthworms then frozen shrimp and tilapia in vitachem. Teacher fish have always worked for me.

Ha ok yeah he’s a pig he’ll eat numerous bloodworm cubes and still want 6 red worms twice a day I’ll starve him and try again

What I did, used to be on live ghost shrimp

I starve him and only provide the live ghost shrimp once a week....

Other days I throw in market prawn....

He gave in before me lol

I would presume having tankmates eating the market prawn helps too
