fire eel feeding

How can I convert my fire eel off of ghost shrimp? As of right now, that is the only thing he will eat. But at 12", feeding him a ghost-shrimp-only diet is getting a bit expensive... If I could get him to eat earth worms, that'd be amazing. The last time I tried, the fire eel touched the worm with its nose and ran away as fast as he could in the opposite direction...

Try waving raw shrimp in front of his mouth. My eels actually stick their heads out of the water to take raw shrimp from my hand.

try earth worms.. started mine on earthworms and they shortly moved to frozen prawns

Starve him a little don't give him food for a good 4 days or so then try market shrimp , bloodworms, krill and th earth worms

You could go longer with out food but i woulnd't go much longer then 2 weeks

my fire eel loves blood worms.. like killerfish said above, dont feed him for a couple of days and then try feeding him something else.. if he wont eat it, wait a couple more days and try feeding it to him again
