Fire eel feeding

I recently purchased a fire eel around 12-13 inches. I’ve had him/her for a week or so and it’s kept in my 265 with a clown knife. So far the only thing I can get it to eat are live ghost shrimp. I’ve tried frozen krill/blood worms and beef heart. I don’t mind feeding it ghost shrimp, but I can’t always get them in stores and don’t think it’s getting enough nutrients to support growth. Any suggestions?

I’d try letting the eel go w/o food for a couple of days and offer crushed pellets, black worms or earthworms. Should take it and will take a little patience.

Ok I’ll give that a shot
