I have 12 inch fire eel, I bought it 2 weeks ago. I’m not sure how much to feed him. I feed him 4, sometimes 5 cubes of frozen bloodworms a day and yet he’s still begging for more! He ends up panting after his meal, which I don’t know if he’s eaten too much. I’m really confused and would appreciate some advice. Should I carry on feeding him till he stops wanting more?

Fire eels are very greedy so be careful not to over feed. Feed as much as it can completely eat in 1-2 minutes twice a day. Offer variety in diet not just bloodworms. And also make sure to keep up on water changes! Very important

Linking from my response in the other thread about trying to feed him other larger items, you should be able to search the posts on eels as others have had success with soaking other food in the juices of bloodworm to get the new food to smell and taste like bloodworm. I have a 14” tyre track that accepts nothing but mussels so know what it’s like when they only accept their favourite food.

Success!!! So I soaked a prawn in the blood worms and he actually ate it!! That was 3 cubes and 2 prawns. He was still sticking his head out of the pipe, but he didn’t come to the surface. Hopefully it has filled him up. Thank you all!
