But anyway, congrats on the dry diet for your eel. Makes things a lot easier !
Getting them to take pellets is very hard to do. Fire eels usually eats worms and prawns on occasion. My friend got his to take dried krill. I got rid of mine because it only ate worms and crayfish. It's not the most cheapest and convenient things to feed it.
I got mine at about 6 inches, 2 hrs on he is now nearly 24inches, he was not eating at all when I got him but he moved on from live bloodworm only and now he eats frozen mussel, cockle, White bait, lance fish, earthworms but I still have not got him on pellets.
Any advice how to do this?
I know first thing for me to do will be get rid of my greedy oscars, since owning an aquarium the only fish ive wanted is a big fire eel, mines about 9/10 inches and dont seem to be getting any bigger and only eats earthworms and prawns IF you feed him by hand, just chuck them in and if the oscars dont grab them he just looks at them
