Seems like a common problem

My +-20cm Fire Eel isn't eating
Have had it for a week, so not panicking yet.
But everything I have offered is refused: smelt pieces, freeze dried krill, blood worm, live earth worms.
Any ideas?

What I did for my new one that I got a couple months ago was to give him a little bit of everything at once. At first, mine wasn't eating either. I put in a mix of frozen mysis shrimp, frozen bloodworms, frozen beef heart, live earthworms and frozen market shrimp. It eventually settled on live earthworms and I've been feeding them to it ever since. Eventually, they should start eating a variety. My bigger fire eels both eat a pretty large variety of different stuff.

Probably gotta settle in but try feeding bloodworms or live worms (black/eartheworms) at night in couple of days.

Oh, forgot to mention that if you go this route make sure that you vacuum out all of the uneaten stuff.
