Fire eel or hybrid? plz help

I have a fish I purchased they told me it was a fire eel and I have had and seen fire eels before but this one is different I think it might be a hybrid and I am trying to get someone else's opinion He...and I'm assuming it's a he has all the normal markings of a fire eel except his tail has spots it kinda seems like he's a cross between a fire and some sort of peacock any ways here's a link to a picture of him take a look and let me know what you think

clearer shot of the tail would be better, but never seen/heard of spiney hybridizing ( sure it's possible, but unlikley) It may be a localized gene. What size is it?

Looks like a fire eel maybe with a oddball pattern.
