Can I put a fire eel with 5-7silver dollars and 1 or 2 oscars in a 125 gallon tank
I got him already but I could get a bigger tank probably in a year to a year and a halfCorrect.
Here are quoted growth rates I have found on this and other fish keeping websites for properly fed & cared for fire eels in properly sized tanks:
-2 feet in 18 mos
-3 feet in 2 years
-8 to 30 in less than a year
I wouldn't put a fire eel in a tank as small as a 125 unless I already had a far larger tank available for it to go to in less than a year.

Hes 5-6inch and he ate a couple hours after getting him I feed him bloodworms is that good
I can probably get a 220 or bigger im trying to get a 300 gallon I just need to wait 3-4 months to get the basement finished then once it is I will try to get a 300 gallon+ tankWell, at this point then, all I can recommend is to do the best you can to make that happen. I keep mine in a 220 and consider it a bare minimum for these guys. A 300 would be better, but something in the 4-500 gallon range would be best.
