Any recomendations on a fire eel or 2 with some cichlids.... i have 3 large tanks. Or any other kind of eel??? tire track eel ?? i wanna try something different but dont wanna dedicate a whole tank to it??

My peacock is pretty chill with everything. As long as there isn't something that's gonna eat him he's pretty flexible.

My fire eel fought a vieja bifactiause (bad spelling) till both were wore out each one was were adults also

I have a tire track eel and peackock in my 180g cichlid tank...no drama, no interactions....its as if they dont see eachother. remember, if the eel feels threatened, they will bury themselves. the only problem I have is I cant get them to eat pellets...only eat frozen bloodworms or live earth worms, so they only eat 2-3 times a week.

i have a similar problem to Blues14, my fire eel gets along fine with everything in the tank (oscar, JD and 2 jags) but it's real pain to get it to eat, so far i've been able to get it to eat frozen bloodworm and prawn.

I have a Fire Eel in with my Oscars and Jag and he does ok. It took about a week to get him eating when I first got him when he was about 7-8 inches and now he vacuums up the prawns like nobodys business and is probably about 20 inches a year later.

You can see them in this video:

The tank is a bit mucky because I am doing a water change but I wanted to video without the decor in so you can see them all clearly.

The Fire Eel appreciates cover and I have a pipe cut in half lengthways where he can chill.
