Fire eel with rays

So i have a breeding pair of marbles in my 600 which are about 19 and 13 inches disk.....there are some smaller fish in the tank like 5 inch tinfoil barbs but due to how slender fire eels are i was wonderiny if a 13-14 inch fire eel would be ok?......personally i think ill be fine but always respect the opinions of most of u. Thanks

Nice but i would be more worried about a ray with a 14 inch fire eel lol......how old is ur 30 inch

I have had 14 to 20 inchers with my bds without an issue...just make sure the fire is eating aggressively before introducing.

I was considering putting the eel in my 80 frag grow out before introducing to the 600 to make sure hes eating........does that sound like a better idea

Definitely make sure he's eating and not too shy before putting him in the 600. I've done most of my fire eels like that and had to move a tire track to a 180 because he wasn't coming out to eat in the larger tank with the larger rays. That way, he can also get some size on him. Depending on the girth of the eel, and how aggressive your rays are and what you feed, I might be a little concerned.

Picked up a 14 inch today....he will be in a 80 to get him use to my water perams and to get him to eat will move to the 600 when hes ready.....thanks!
