looks healthy, in a reputable lfs, they said it came in as is.

the red is replaced with a off white creamy, almost white colour.

so its a fire eel that has white instead of where the red should be.
i dot have a pic, i cant google them either, cant find any or the term for it.

anyone seen this before?
is it sick? or just leucistic? or what?

thinking of buying

wow that a rare eel it called Mastacembelus unicolor

Its 30cm!!
already big, feeding from the top of the tank too.
so its not colour change due to stress and settling in.

Mastacembelus unicolor, never heard of it, interesting, im googling but anyone else have info that is extensive on the,m?

i haver seen many baby fire eels - even ones that are 6 cms leong, and they have red colours already, nothing like this.
this is definitely not a fire eel.
upon further searching, Mastacembelus unicolor seems to be the right answer!!!

I have a Unicolor too! :)
