So I am new to this whole monster fish thing and am picking up my Fire eel tomorrow, he is really small and I am scared! I have his tank set up to 27c° ph 7 pd 10 and have blood worms waiting for him any tips you guys have? Any way to get him to settle and be comfortable? He does have a huge tank to himself as well as good hiding spots caves etc soft and rough sand mix+ floating and normal plants yet plenty of space. Any tips will help, all welcome thank you!

Secondly, I'd try not to get it hooked on bloodworms, try raw shrimp/prawn instead. Feeding a big fire eel nothing but bloodworms gets pretty expensive after a while!

It is a 400 litre tank it has been cycled for about a week and I made sure it is enclosed I will try the other food as well thank you!
Sorry also on that it is just for him I have a much bigger tank 10ft by 3ft and 3ft tall but that is filled with tetras, guppies and neons I hear fires munch them.
And before you go all "that is a small pool" which is what the builders said it is in the wall, no other support structure was available haha
the tank size is fine and you said the eel was small.
more important is the cycling. once that is established it should be fine.

Hahaha nothing's worse then women with hairy legs! Unless they have hairy pits to go with it. Yuck!
