Fire Eels and cats?

I was trying to figure out what ate my fire eel. Non of my fish are large enough exept my raphael cat fish thats 4 inches. The fire eel was 5 inches. I was wondering if it was the one that ate the fire eel.

Check behind your tank. It probably jumped out. Or if you have a HOB filter then check inside of that.

You would be amazed at what catfish can eat but I agree with the others that it probably got out or swam/jumped into your filter.

Have you got sand in there? Some eels love to bury themselves for a while.

Since they have no scales the detireate quick it happened to my tire track eel

Well he was not around the filter, and the back of the tank. I did a water change and I found part of him striped to the bone so I think that it was my catfish.

That sucks I have never had any luck with them either, I think they are a fairly hard fish to keep from my experience's.
