Fire eels and salt

These are not brackish nor saltwater so no.
 
Are you talking marine or aquarium salt?

They're wrong. That's a myth being repeated. Save your salt for ich cases.

Yeah they are. Fire eels are synbranchiformes, aka the swamp or spiny eels. There's also anguiliformes, aka marine eels. They're not related, but....

They're both called eels ;)
 
Yes Yes meny meny fish are called eels but are not true eels but on to the topic of this thread

Fire eels don't mind a little salt in there water but its not needed they will do perfectly fine in totally freshwater
