I just noticed yesterday that my Fire eels are looking bad. Their eyes are clouded over almost to a white. I just now noticed the same thing with my two ornate polys. Any ideas? They share the tank with some wild caught pbass, the pbass look good.

I did a water change, have been doing them weekly (33%) (75gal tank). I started treating with PIMAFIX. Gonna try and raise the temp to about 82-84 and I already add salt to every water change.

Please list actual numbers on your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.

What size tank? What type of filtration? Please list all fish. Is the water change regimen you describe your normal, or is this what you've been doing since the onset of symptoms?

How long has your tank been set up, and are there any new additions?

Answering these questions will allow us to respond in an educated manner about what's going on with your fish. The water parameters are most, most important.

Cloudy is usually caused by poor water quality. It's extremely easy to fix, though, by just getting your biological filter back on track. The Pimafix and salt aren't hurting anything, but they're not going to help, either, if your ammonia or nitrite is high.

I doubt the problem will be with nitrates unless you are highly overstocked, since you've been doing such regular hefty water changes.

Sorry, I missed that you said it was 75 gallons. I started thinking about after I went downstairs, and I remembered that you said 75, so I wanted to come back and let you know that. LOL.
