_ Any know if fire eels can live in low end brackish and/or compatible with snowflake and toad fish? sorry couldnt find info elsewhere-

i'm retarded- found info, waste of a thread - not gonna say sorry again though.

i have heard about people keeping fresh water spiny eels such as the fire eel in brackish supposedly it helps them. but a snowflake eel has teeth may take the fire eel as a competitor and kill it. when you say toad fish do you mean fresh water stone fish. if you do i dont know much about them. exempt you are talking about alt of bottom dwellers in your tank.

maybe you wanted a little more info

Appreciate the reply_ but the toadfish or freshwater lionfish or rockfish, and the eel have pretty much got my 55 locked down- my eel already downed 2 gar that were about as big as the sell fire eels around here. I was wanting something more cause the middle and top of my tank just look so bare- they eat everything that comes anywhere near. I'm just completely clueless as to what else i can put in there- might be a little while before i can upgrade so scats and monos are both out as they get to big, and they come too small, would make great snacks though- yup clueless- guess i'm better off leaving them alone.

I wouldn't go for it. Fire eels tolerate, maximum, 1.005 as an SG, while the freshwater/brackish morays are most comforatble at somewhere around 1.010 and above, even up to marine conditions.
