Second time is a charm, here's a pic of the fire burning 1 ridge away in the morning, the fire was reflecting off of the clouds and smoke. It looked like the whole sky was fire. Lost 130 square miles of pristine wilderness so far.

where is this?

that is quite interesting.

It's in the North Cascade Mountains in Washington State, USA it's visible by satellite photos, 25% contained they called in the Natnl Guard or Army for support, I got evacuated the day I brought my new Aro home, so his name is Inferno. It's been burning awhile now, some days the smoke is really bad and it's dark during the day, if felt so eerie and ominous when I took these photos. Hopefully the winds don't kick up, it's touch and go.

yeah, Hi, I'm on the eastern slopes, you look westside...can you send me some westside water for my tank? I usually haul some when I go over the mountains, this well has a ph of 8.8 !

so you took your fish with you? Or how does that work?

heck ya I took him! but usually evac means the sheriff hands over a piece of paper stating "current conditions present specific and immediate threat(s) to life and safety of persons within the area" and the fire breaks the ridge, it's grab the cats throw them in the truck and haul a**. I tried with my fish , and in restrospect their chances are better at home and realized my house will be the last to burn because the fire stages incident command near my house, they'll bring the helicopters to protect a house, my fire lines are good. The best is to cover my aquarium, hook up the generator, cut the power and start watering until the cows come home. and pray.

nice those are some intresting looking pictures. hope it stays away from your house!! I know how that can be we get alot of wildfires down here alot also. bleh.

You should essentially be able to save your house... Just eradicate any bushes withing 20-30 feet of your buiding and get the hose ready.
