Fire mouth and Green Terror

I just recently got some mid sized fire mouth males. But my green terror set was in the tank first and the fire mouths are slightly bigger than the gt. My question is... aren't firemouths relatively docile? every time my gt's try to eat they get chased off. I was thinking of returning the firemouths just can't decide. Any comments?

Also I have noticed since i got the FM my arrow has had some scarring on its tail... also my GT male has a split back fin

They may be trying to breed. Is the gar in your sig in this tank as well? And how many F.M's and G.T's are we talking about? How big is the arow?

Everything is in my sig. Weird thing is that the FM are both males...

I wouldn't assume any cichlid as "docile," but the 2 males I own are big time bluffers for the most part. They hate my plecos the most by far. I would expect the most agression from the GT pair if they are a mating pair. Have they spawned for you?

well that GT of yours will soon kick the crap out of the FM's IMO you can be sure of that.

(well unless you got a really strange one then maybe not)
