fire mouth info

I am starting to read up on cichlids contiplating getting into keeping them.My question is on fire mouth cichlids. Some of the info is a little confusing. I have a breeding pair of kribs and 5 jewel cichlids (1 female didnt make it through our move) as well as a pleco and 4 guaramis in a 75 gallon tank.

Would it be ok to add a pait of fire mouth ciclids. What i read so far says yes but some stuff says no.
Any suggestions?

Single fire mouth yes,a pair I wouldn't do it, a pair would probably kill or stress the gouramis and some of the jewels

They can hit 6+ but that takes years.
Here's a pic of a massive one by firemouth standards
My current male is around 4 and half inches at almost 2 years
And what species of gourami do you have?

Wow bigger than I thought. I have 3 Gold and 1 Opaline. We just moved from pa to Georgia and not everyone made it. We lost 1 gold female and the male Opaline. The jewels are only 1-1\2" so far.
