Firecons?

I am new to the forum and new to keeping Cichlids. I have a pink convict and a firemouth that dug several holes in my gravel. I went to bed that night and had eggs in the morning. The next day they were gone. I figured my crayfish or one of thier other tankmates had eaten them. I came home early from work today and noticed that now I have about 50-100 fry! Has this happend before? I saw the post about the firecons, but with a pink convict? Hopefully I can seperate the fry from my oscars, Jd, and my warmouth. Is there anything special I have to do for the fry? These are my 1rst fry. Thans for your time

if its anything like breeding convicts; let the mother take care of the fry and if the male beats her up seperate him.
Those fish sound cool ive never seen one.

Nice work, I would go and get a 3 way breeder or net breeder at any LFS and once the fry are around 1.5-2 weeks old and can swim well on there own, and once you see them eating on there own REGULARLY drop the fry into it. thats what i did and i have about 50 Cons ready to be fed to my Dat. Should be good looking fish! Good work!
