This is the second time my BP and FM have laid eggs and ate them. The first time they laid the eggs on a rock and 4 days later they were completely cleaned off the rock. I thought damn plecos right?... The second time they laid eggs (over the weekend) I got the plecos out so it was only the FM and BP in the tank, I looked at the tank this morning and they were cleaned off again! Its not like im dying for a FM/BP fish but I'd like to start raising some feeders for when i get my motoros. So from my observation's FM and BP are bad parents? Why are they eating there eggs?

FM is about 3.5 - 4 inches and I havent figured out who is the male and female. Every time i walk to the tank the fm comes out with the gills flaring, and when i put my hand in the tank the bp nips at my hand.

Take the eggs out, place them in a 5G tank with a slow bubbling airstone. Remove white eggs as soon as you see them and add metheylne blue to retard fungus.
