i have a firemouth in a 55 cichlid tank with younger cichlids, all similar in size.i have 3 FM's they were all great but then the healthy female i beleive,now she is just hangin out in the back left at the top with rapid gills and striping.her scales look funny, kinda like hmm,salt and pepper maybe, shes light gray and and it just kinda looks like what id imagine itd look like if i could mix the scales up with my fingers.like messy outa order maybe.i have no clue no spots or slime, just messed scales, and her tail is ragid, not beaten up but loose like.
i have a smaller JD all sorts of sick.she is covered kinda in a slime, she has what looks like white slime on her tail and scales.but its not as obvious on the skin colors are very dull and rapid gills.just stays on the bottom mostly,doesnt eat much.
im new to illness never really had a prob before..sorry if i may seem nub, but any helpo us appreciated.i have looked at illness in books and cant get it right.i was reading TB in a book that seemed the closesst but not sure.thanks for any help
