Firemouth Breeding space

I kind of want to get back into breeding cichlids, but I'm a bit tight on space at the moment, so I might have to do it in one of the community tanks. About how big is the territory of a breeding pair of firemouths?

And any other suggestions for a medium sized new world cichlid with a relatively small territory? I can think of festivums and angels, but both are annoying to sex.

In a small tank, something like Herotilapia multispinnossa, or Amatitlania nanoluteus, or some of the other Amatitlania would work.
The best way to get FMs to spawn is get about a half dozen or more, and let them pair up naturally, and for this a small tank can be problematic.
